Health and Safety policy document

 

As the ‘responsible person’ for Health and Safety within my workplace, the following statement will apply.

 

All business or potential business as a Home inspector will be carried out in accordance with current Health and safety legislation specifically with reference to the Health and Safety at work act 1974 and the Construction Design Management regulations 1994.

 

Health and Safety will be a consideration for both my self and all that are employed or are in contact either as a ‘client’ or in a ‘professional’ capacity. All these persons will be consulted on matters of Health and Safety especially on matters that directly affect them. I will provide adequate control of the health and safety risks associated with my employee’s and workplace. Feedback will be anticipated on a regular basis and any necessary improvements made in accordance with the Health and safety at Work Act and this policy statement; This is in order to maintain safe and healthy working conditions wherever the location of the workplace. Any health and safety advice will be passed on accordingly, where I am not deemed to be the ‘responsible person’.

 

In order that Employee’s do not endanger themselves or other’s and to prevent accidents and work related illness, I will ensure all employee’s are competent to carry out their required work and I will give training where necessary to reach a required minimum standard. In order for this to be applicable I will provide safe equipment and maintain it according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Employees will also receive instruction on the safe handling of substances, machinery and equipment.

 

As health and Safety is a primary consideration within the organization, any breach of Health and safety policy will be reported to the ‘responsible person’. In the unlikely event that an accident may occur this will be recorded as per requirements of current

 

Legislation. Emergency procedures will be put in place if necessary and any training given to carry out those procedures in order to protect the health and safety of myself as well as all others.
